This Mom Decides To Have Her Baby In The Ocean For A ‘Worry-Free’ Natural Birth

You may be used to hearing of women giving birth in the hospital, water births, and unexpected births. But, this mom expected and knew exactly what she wanted to do. To have a less stressful birth, she decided it was best to go to the beach one day and take a dip into the Pacific Ocean. Where she brought her bundle of joy into the world. The thought of this made many viewers that saw her story concerned about the well-being of the child. Saying things like it’s dangerous and unsanitary. But, according to her, it was her choice and it was an ideal way of having her baby.

Stress-Free Birth

Josy Peukert a 37-year-old woman was getting ready to pop out her baby. She chose exactly where she wanted to be when it happened. This of course was a much different way of doing things compared to others. When the time came to give birth, she took a trip with her other half, Benni Cornelius, age 42. Their trip landed them in Paya Majaqual in Nicaragua. The baby would be born in the ocean because that’s how it was meant to happen. Since then, her story hit the charts and has gone viral on Instagram.

“I had no fears or worries to welcome a new little soul into our lives, just me, my partner, and the waves. It was beautiful. The soft volcanic sand under me reminded me there is nothing else between heaven and earth just life.”

Easier Than Having A Baby In The Hospital?

Of course many if not all of the people on the planet know how painful birth is especially without an epidural to numb the pain. But, Josy stands by her experience and says that the ocean calmed her contractions and aching pains. She sat in the Pacific Ocean as the waves hit her back and gave birth to her baby boy, Bhodi Amor Ocean. Both of them came out as healthy as can be.

The waves had the same rhythm as the contractions, that smooth flow made me feel really good,” Josy explained. “I got this idea in my head I wanted to give birth in the ocean and because the conditions were right on the day that’s what I did.

Traumatic First Birth

Josy is the loving mother of 3 children. She specifically chose this birthing option because of the hardships she fast with the birth of her first child. She says that the clinic she gave birth in was traumatic even for both her and her baby. Next, was her second child which she chose to do a home birth. But, by the second baby, she knew in her heart that she needed to do it alone this time. This meant that she didn’t even want help before the birth either. Not a single doctor was involved to do scans, appointments, or even let them know when she was due to have the baby. They trusted their faith in Josy’s maternal instincts.

I wanted to be worry-free for once,” she said. “My first birth was traumatic in a clinic, and my second birth was a home birth but by the third, even a midwife in my home was too much.”

“This time I had no doctor’s appointments or scans or outside influence. We didn’t have a due date or deadline for the baby to arrive. We just trusted that our baby would make its way.”

Baby Gone Viral

She decided to share her store with the world by sharing it on Instagram @raggapunzel. She has since reached over 200,000 views and tons of comments. Some shared happiness whereas others were cruel and showed disgust in her choice.

Here are just a few of the comments left by people:

“What a shock for that bubba – from a warm womb to the cold ocean.” And, another said: “Is this sanitary? There’s a lot of bacteria in the sea.”

Josy, of course, did not let these comments phase her and replied back with “Bodhi was born in the midday sun when it was about 35 degrees, we weren’t worried at all that he’d be cold and I had no concerns about waterborne infections. He is perfectly healthy.” “For me and this baby, I wanted to feel completely connected by my own self-directed care. This pregnancy was the greatest gift we could have imagined and wished for.”

At 56, Cindy Crawford has finally accepted her age and wants everyone to stop calling her ageless

Cindy Crawford is the epitome of a supermodel. But, unfortunately, people tend to hold models to unrealistic beauty standards, especially as they get older. Crawford personally rejects any age expectations people might have for her and has some words of wisdom to share with everyone who’s afraid of aging.

Crawford defined the ’90s supermodel era.

When we think about ’90s supermodels, one of the first names that come to mind is undoubtedly Cindy Crawford. Her rise to fame started in 1990 when she appeared on the cover of British Vogue alongside names like Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington. Since then, Crawford frequently walked and posed for the biggest fashion houses and magazines of the decade.

In 2000, exactly 10 years since her career had skyrocketed, Crawford quit full-time modeling at the age of 34. Since then, the former supermodel has written a book, Becoming, worked as a spokesperson for several brands, and even launched her furniture line. Still, even though she hung up her modeling hat over 2 decades ago, Crawford is still battling with unrealistic expectations people have of others.

Getting older was tough to accept for her at first.

By the time Crawford started approaching her fifties, she’d started noticing her age in little things: “Your skin, your hair, your body. I take care of myself but I know that I’m a 51-year-old woman.”

And yet, Cindy realized that her concerns were more based on other people’s expectations of her. “I want to do my job well, and I want to deliver but I also know that what I have to offer now is different from what I had to offer at 25.”

The former supermodel also had a hard time with people online reacting to her changing appearance, saying, “I don’t need everyone on Instagram pointing out that I don’t look the same way I did when I was 20. I know that.” But after the struggle came acceptance, which we can all learn from.

Crawford has embraced her age and refuses to look back.

After some time, Crawford accepted that you can’t turn back time and it’s much more important to focus on the now. As she shared, “No matter what I do, I’m not going to look 20, or 30. I just want to look great for 50. There’s pressure on women to do the undoable, which is not age. But it’s about looking great for however old you are, regardless of what that number is.”

At this time, she also rejects the idea of being ageless and wants everyone to stop pushing that narrative. Crawford said, “Being told I’m ageless isn’t right, especially because getting older is hard enough, never mind that we live in a youth-obsessed culture.”

Ultimately, Crawford’s age became her sense of pride as it reflects all her achievements. “I’m not 25, so why should I be trying to look 25? Why do I want someone to mistake me for a 25-year-old? I’ve had children. I have all this life experience.”

A Denton couple is celebrating their new twin girls who were born in different years!

Kali Jo Scott had to be checked in early to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton for monitoring.

Then came Effie Rose at 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 1, making her the first baby born at the hospital in 2023!

The babies are happy and healthy, weighing in at 5.5 pounds.

“We had kind of joked, like, ‘wouldn’t it be funny if…’ with the holiday and New Year’s Eve over the weekend,” said Scott. “It turned out that was more of a possibility than we realized.”

Both parents say they like the fact that each child gets their own day.

“I love it. I think it is hilarious and just super fun,” Scott said.

“It kind of happened so quick we haven’t processed all of it yet,” said father Cliff Scott.

They say it will help keep the fraternal twins with their own identity.

“You always still want to make sure they have their own individual personality and know that they are special and unique. So this gets to add to that special and uniqueness that some twins don’t maybe get,” she said. “One will always get the glitter and confetti of New Year’s Eve and one gets to kick it off with a brand-new year on New Year’s Day.”

The few-minute difference could have big implications for a few things.

Many youth sports are based around the child’s birth year, which could make for complicated schedules.

The new family says some of the financially-minded friends have reached out about the tax implications.

“Our friends were making fun of us for the tax deduction issue since we only get one tax deduction for last year, but I think that’s just fine,” Scott said.
